Olive Oil

For the ancient Greeks, olive oil and the olive were a symbol of the Olympic Games. It stood for peace, wisdom and victory, therefore the only prize the Olympic champion received was a wreath of olive branches. And it was/is still today one of the most common and important ingredients in Greek cuisine.

Greece, Italy and Spain are three of the world's largest oil producers.
